i have brought a Dx7 my heli is set up as model 1 so how do i change to model to so i can set it up for my phoenix? i also noticed when i connected to phoenix i did not need to switch it on, is this right?

On a DX6i you click the roller, scroll to model select, click the roller, scroll to the model you want, click the roller.
It switches on as you plug into the buddy jack yes

No, you have no need to turn on the TX for it is activated by the lead.
To set up a new model, press and hold the DOWN and SELECT buttons and switch ON the TX.
Pressing the right rocker switch to "increase" will move you to the next model. Mike
