  • ff7 7chp/cap unintended model reset

I have somehow accidentally reset model 1 on my 7cap twice now.
Anyone else had this reaset problem? Other models have not been affected.
dunno how it happened. maybe if you switch off with a menu active or something? definitely not by using reset in the menu.
perhaps not everything was reset.its difficult to tell because while programming i just noticed that the model name had reset to default. but I'd already edited a few paramiters.model type and pcm modulation were not reset to default.
I had a safety ussue with this on another occasion.
The throttle channel reverted to not reversed. Also the ccpm swash aeleron changed direction but that wasn't such a problem.
I switched my trex on but ther motor didn't start (thank good ness) quark 33a esc will not arm until itgets a throttle closed signal. I flicked the t hold (which has reverted to default so didn't workunknown to me), I flicked into idle up and waggedthe leftstick up and down. Dang thing started up (throotle curve reverted to 0 thru 100 percent but as throttle wasreversed the esc armed at stick full up. Quark takes a while to go through slow start and whileit was working its way up flicking t hold failed tostop it, flicked backto normal and closed pulled the stick down. ESC was still slow starting and didn't stop, butaccellerated to full chat (well 2800 governed rpm actually) with 10 degresof negativepitch (fortunately).
Now I'm stood next to a a picknic table on which my heli is goingfull chat negative pitch. Wiggling the cyclic shows the radio is working but the motorwon't stop. I consider flying it off into a more open space (didn't know aileron was reversed yet) but at full bore and full -ve pitch the lipo alarm was soon going off. I managed to separate thre deansconnector (mainly because the heli was on a table). must pull lots of amps with the blades at full chat full pitch and the heli not moving! This was when I noticed model 1 had lost its name. I'm goingto check that every time from now on!!!!
Anyway I survived to reprogram it all and now it flies fine, and I copiedthe model a into a few of thr memory slots.

I've never know this to happen?
I've used mine for 2.5 years ish now and not seen or heard of this before.
Changing PPM to PCM would effect it - but you mention you didn't do that.
Copying one model memoy over another would also affect it... I doubt you did that either?

If you're not doint it, and nobody else is getting near your Tx and messing, then I suspect a potentially faulty unit.
I'd monitor the situation very carefully and if it happens again, get it serviced.
    Cheers,
