dx7 LiPo?

hi all,
has anyone put a lipo battery in their tx?
if so would i have to make any mods and what size battery is best?

It's been discussed a fair bit - have you tried searching for DX7 and Lipo?

Been running a lipo in mine for about a year now with no mods, and using pretty regularly.
No problems at all.

Bought my 2200mah Lipo from ebay. A GE Power Lipo. Had to swap the polarity of the wires round though.

Got an Outrage 3s 2500mah in mine. Got it from Fast Lads. No problems with mine, its been in the tx for over a year. Only thing i changed was the alarm value to reflect the lipo voltage.

On a full charge it will last about 3 months before it needs charging again... and thats using it a fair bit both flying and on the sim.

Certainly worth it in my view.

Aidi, just out of interest what Voltage do you let the lipo drop to before you charge?

If i remember, i set it via the "special menu" to alarm at 9.6v. However, i have never got anywhere near it. The lowest i have taken mine to before charging is 10.5v

............ i have the same lipo and its great as per Aidi's post.

I charge mine when it gets to about 11v as i have put it on the cellpro at this level and its been down to 15% left in the pack.

I use this one in my DX7, set alarm for 10.5v stays charged for everrrrrrrrrrrr!!
