    Broken Dx7 :(((((

    I bought a Dx7 from fast lads on the 27th of december for my new trex 700le. All ive used it on is the sim at the moment as i havnt flown my 700 yet. But its suddenly stopped working and wont turn on. I checked the voltage on the battery and its still at 10v

    Anyone have any ideas? Not sure if this has to be send back to fast lads or Horizon Hobby as it says in the back of the manual.

    i think it's the fuse (search the forum for "fuse" / DX 7).
    It usually blows, when the charging cable is accidentally short-circuited.

    Changing it is easily done in five minutes.

      you havent used a charger other than a specific one for the spektrum have you as there opposite polarity! have you checked the fuse inside aswell?? if worse comes to worse horizon hobby are excellent with there customer service!

        Might be the fuse - check here.

        However, call FL and I'm certain they'll sort you.

          yup.. would think that it is most likely the fuse.. Just take the back off and you should be able to see it. Get the fuse from maplins.

            Nope havnt even charged it yet, but i will check the fuse thanks for the advice.

              Sure enough the fuse has gone. Thats slightly worrying....... is there something wrong with my tx????? Dont want that happening when im flying the 700!!!!

                Mine did the same thing 2 days after purchase!! -Now coming up to 2yrs old and super reliable,,, If you're stuck for the correct fuse send me your address and I'll post you a couple..

                  simple - you just have to fly your heli high enough so if you lose your Tx you can unscrew the back, change the fuse, switch back on and regain control!

                  Seriously though, I've not heard of anyone having an issue with this fuse duriong flight. It seems to be a "i picked up my Tx and it wouldn't work" issue.
                  suggests its related to charging, or perhaps a nock while powered up? folks don't knock their tx about much while flying. Maybe we are rougher with the tx while it is powered up via the sim lead.
