    On Helifreak, go to the Finless Tech Room 101 vids for a 450Pro:

    Trex 450 Pro build videos - HeliFreak

    In there you will find Lord Bobs base radio settings, which ought to help.

      DX6i setup sheet for Trex 450 Pro

      I have an excel spreadsheet of my DX6i /450 pro setup sheet see attachment - to be honest though, you will need to tweak this a lot for your own preferences, so I'd suggest you just use the pitch/throttle curves in the manual, and +20% expo on cyclic and then just tweak it to your preference.

      This is for HS65 cyclic servo's, so if you are using the Align servo's you will need to reverse swash mix (ie +75 becomes -75) to get cyclic to work the right way - settings are otherwise unchanged.

      There is no right setup - your installation will almost certainly need different subtrims and swash/mix as there is variation in servo's/receiver centre points, and you may not be using the same arms/holes as me. Also, depending on your preferred headspeed/pinion and packs, you will need to adjust throttle curve anyway.

          Hi Mart,

          I used the simple check for setting up the heli : visit the link ;

          http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/member...swashplate.jpg

          The throttle and pitch cure settings as done by Jamesb72 is what I use as well (normal settings) except I don't go as high as 100% but keep it to 90%

          I do not use expo but reduced the aileron and elevator to 60% - that's tame enough for me.

          Hope this helps.

              Well a lot of us do use and have used the DX6i, so you can be specific about particular queries of heli and TX set-up. Naturally we will do our best.

                Thats whats good about this forum and alot of flyers here they tend to use the same equipment to a degree anhd its so much easier to ask and people being able to respond, first, like now I just need an overall rough guide to setting the tx so I got CP etc, its not important but I feel confident and cant wait to get going .

                    Good news!!!!! You will find you will be doing some tweaking of certain functions, bat as long as you have the "base setup", you'll be fine. Incidentally, I'd make a note of your settings, cos I managed to delete them all once!!!!!!!

                      That was the word I was after 'base' I needed the base settings and now I have them I can tweak away.
                      Got my PS today from fastlads, finally took advantage of there next day .

                      Best thing is though I ordered my cellpro 4s from Aurora and I got a call the next day (because I ordered at 12.00 am in the morning so it got posted yesterday) and the nice lady asked if I had made a mistake with my order because I didnt include the adapter board and she didnt want me to pay for P&P twice I explanied no but its nice for her to do that, thats customer service the British way .

                            By the same token the DX7 has slightly different menu and selection methods, and I have managed to delete my 600 and 450 setting twice!!!
