Had a thought last that the multiplying the value that I had on the dx6i by 1.5 is wrong. Since the Travel adjust scale of the dx7 is 3 times larger than the dx6i Gyro setting should I should be multiplying how much hh gain I have by 3. On my pro I had it set to 65% which is a value of 15 (if rate is at 50%) and multiplying that by 3, so the dx7 value should be 45. That sound right?

Most gyros only go into HH mode at a gain over 50%.Originally posted by cupracing View PostOn my pro I had it set to 65% which is a value of 15 (if rate is at 50%) and multiplying that by 3, so the dx7 value should be 45. That sound right?
If your actual gain value (not atv (travel adjust) setting) was 65% it will be approx 97.5 using the atv.
I think you will just have to experiment and find the right gain settings. I have 3 helis with the same gyro / servo (GY401 / 9254) and the gain varies from 60% to 90% (I might actually have another look at the one that's up so high because the other one is at 71%). But with the 401 in general it seems to work properly over a pretty wide gain range but some gyros are really picky and have to be set just right to hold well and not wag.Last edited by trillian; 14-01-2010, 11:04 AM.Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam
