help with binding

i picked up my raptor today from speedy jon (thanks by the way) but i cant seem to see where the bind plug goes to, i watched the video on the web page but the plug is the wrong size and wont fit any ideas anyone?

Which rx are you using?

The plug should be like a servo connector. Plug it in to batt on the rx and plug your batt in to any port on the rx then it should enter bind mode. is the bind plug your have for futaba? does it have a small tab on the side.

Sounds like you have a female bind plug and not a male.
Most spektrum receivers come with a male and female bind plug.
One looks like a servo connector and the other looks like it could have a servo connector plugged into it.
If you are around tomorrow morning bring all your gear and your heli down the field and we will get you sorted.

Sometimes Spectrum supply the bind plug already pluged in to a black square adapter with a neck strap cord on it. May just need to pull them apart

i do have male and female bind plugs, the issue is that the male socket that comes off the battery switch (this is the one acording to spektrum video) does not fit into the female part of the bind plug, and i cant see anywhere for the male part of the bind plug to fit in to (not both at the same time)

i will be up there tomoz dave i just wanted to have it bindded for when i got up there

OK got it.
Dont worry about the female bind plug.
Plug the male part of the bind plug into where the battery pack goes on the receiver.
Plug the battery pack into any spare channel on the receiver. If need be remove one of the servos it doesn't matter.
The receiver should then start flashing meaning it ready to be bound.

just to let u no, i had prob with binding, spoke to spectrum and they said it was my switch, so i disconnected switch, and yep it worked, they said sometimes it wont work with other make switches, mine was raptor, all u do is dis switch altogether, put bind plug in rec and bat and away u go, then put it all back together
