    Hi Guys,

Was wondering about the AR7100R. It has an inbuilt rev limiter, is this the same as a govenor and also is anyone using one, waht are they like??

The rev limiter will do as is says on the box: limit the maximum rev of the engine. Whereas a governor will maintain a desired rpm, once the stick is above a certain threshold - for my MultiGov this is 33%

I have one & am not impressed by any means.
The regulator is fine the rev limiter sensor is fragile at best
      & useless at worst.
I have never managed to get the limiter to work properly.
I am now of the opinion that it's best to go down the seperates route.
Get a standard AR7000 an align 2in1 & an align govenor.

If you go the separate route Mark Ive got a brand new RevMax that's for sale.

        Throttle Jockey Revmax

Same sort of function as the Spectrum one but very reliable. Andy K uses them and swears by them. I use the Throttle Jockey Pro and there are a few revlocks and multi governors in the club.

Mark make sure it's what you want, it's not a governor so won't maintain headspeed but it will stop overspeeds. Andy K is the best bet for setup mate. Don't mind giving you a hand to fit it though.

Ok, think I probably need a govenor more. I'll have a hunt around on the internet and get back to you.

                    Thanks mate!

It performs the same function as the receiver/regulator/ limiter combo you were going to buy. I posted a link above, give it a look.
