  • Futaba gone mental!

    Hi,
My 2 year old 6EX 2.4 has gone nuts!

On my 450 and 250 the servos/swash acts correct but the throttle response is all messed up... At 1/2 stick i get full throttle but at 0 i get 0? I have just tried to get both my esc's into setup mode and it will only do so at full stick with the hold off, if holds on it doesn't go to setup.. If when i get into setup i set the stick to get the timing/mode etc after setup when i replug the esc beeps all different settings to those i just put in?

I guess i cant have 2 rx's with the same problem so it must be the tx thats buggered??
    Any ideas anyone please?

Would you believe it, after 3 weeks of naf weather its looking good and my tx is dead.

    Mike

What is the throttle curve set up like. in idle up it is normal to have a flatline of between 80 and 100 depending on your preferance, gearing etc. normal mode should bring the rotor up to speed prior to hovering and be relatively flatline after that

I've had no probs for over 2 years and the last 100 or so flights on my Pro with no changes at all on the tx.. 0,70,80,80,80 and 100,100,100,100,100..

It seems like the chip in the tx is all messed up??
I'll have to get to a shop to try a new tx or hope someone at the field has a Futaba to try with..

      Cheers,
      Mike

Check that the pitch is going to 100%,if it's not then it's likely to be the throttle stick potentiometer at fault.

Agreed, Had this problem on mine, sent it off to HERE to be fixed to be told it was a normal problem with this radio due to the cheap potentiometers fitted, they corrode on the pickup track.

I have tried a 0-100 pitch and throttle curve and the servos react as they should, following the sticks movement, it's the throttle thats messed up... There must only be one signal off the pot and the servos get that right, so i must be somewhere in the radio software?

This is the same on both my helis so it can't be a duff rx or esc??

Thanks for the repir link Daren.
