Futaba FF8 Interface

Could someone please tell me what type of simulator cable is needed. Does the FF8 use the round DIN or the square connector or something else?

FF8 is quite old so I would guess it uses the round DIN plug?

I take it you have not got one handy to check?

That would be the 6 pin DIN wouldn't it, the one that can be used with Hitec as well.

I saw one quite cheap and I was just wondering, since I want to buy Reflex to use it with, whether it would it work or not.

If your TX has the 6 pin DIN (round plug) then you should be able to get Reflex or Phoenix running from it.

When you buy Reflex, you need to specify which lead you need as you cannot get convertors for the lead. That said, you can buy the right lead (no dongle) from a good model shop.

The Phoenix dongle comes with a JR lead built in (phono jack) and you then add on the relevant extension to your particular buddy box socket as required.
