JR PCM9II 2.4 - Any Good?

Until the DX7 came along we didn't have model match and managed pretty well, it's a very handy feature to have but isn't a make-or-break for me, checking you're on the right model memory should be part of your pre-flight check and we all do them, don't we

I have a 9XII and a DSX9, I upgraded to the DSX9 as a dedicated 2.4 transmitter, because I could. I would recommend the radio in a second, I like the feel of it and the quality is great. Go for it you will not be dissapointed.

Thanks guy's I think you've talked me into it, I've been trying to call the chap who's selling it all day but he's not answering. At £125 - I'm starting to think it's all a little spurious!
So I might be getting a shout out in the "wanted" thread if he doesnt get back to me soon.

I think you'll find that the model match doesn't work with a Spektrum module in a 9xii Tx.

By copying a single sentence from my original post takes out of context what I wrote. I stated that with the module only you lose the model match feature and servo sync. I then went on to describe what model match is. I did not say you would get model match if you were using a module in the 9XII.

9XII is a great radio + ive just put the spectum moduel in mine as my 450 locked out on 35meg pcm. When you fit the 2.4 you just change the modulation in the set from pcm to ppm and your away! Binding is simple
