  • Flying better with DSX9

    Since buying my DSX9 about three weeks ago my flying has moved on three fold so now that Im a week into two week holiday in a field with our caravan with no one else about other than Mi Lady & two little dogs with plenty of time for walking flying & playing with the TX hopefully be able to show of with new flying tricks for when I get home to the field but for now make most of hols before Im back to work anyhow the DSX9 is just perfect for me compared to my DX7 so its money well spent.
    Today's outlook is fine for flying.

    Goes without saying,
    You always fly better with a shinier radio.

    Just like heli's fly faster the more bling you have on them.

          I found the DX7 was not that comfortable for me personally and that is why I kept my PCM9II and converted it to 2.4, and having bought a DX9 now as a dedicated 2.4 set it is great

            Always found it a struggle to do nose in with the DX7 but now purfect with the DSX9 as controls seem much softer so to speek almost like having full expo at same time power when needed. TX is now setup for my 250 & she now flies as good as my 500.
            I have a video but not that good due to cloud cover so hope for nice blue skys, forcast for the week dont sound to hopeful although wont stop me flying.

                Once apon a time I had a:
                • Esky 6Ch 35MHz TX that almost put me off the hobby...but I then got a;
                • Futaba FF7 35MHz really improved my flying, confidence and started the addiction off... so a year has passed by and I got a brand new;
                • Spektrum DX7 that stopped me being able to blame crashes on glitches, improved my confidence in the mechanics even more so and enabled me to improve overal flying... so another 6 months or so and along came a;
                • JR DSX9 which I could brag about, annoy people with my 7-point curves and hold more models to memory than I would ever need!
                • Nothingness - I sold everything, the hobby bored me? Not for long so I bought a;
                • Spektrum DX6i which I hated to hold but was so greatful of the low price and great value for money with features.

                I then bought another DSX9 which I have just done a deal with a DX7. Will miss some of the functions on the 9 but nothing that will restrict me, or lessen my ability to fly. It will also give me extra confidence in opening up to mod with a back lit screen and ball bearings on the gimbles.
