New Futaba T12FG BROKEN?

Just bought the above tranny and 14 channel futaba reciever for my 600.
Have set the system up and binded it and all the controls are ok however the display in the submenus is greyed out while the front screen is ok.
You can use the submenus but they are greyed out.
I know this is not right as my friend has one and I am hoping it may be a setting.
HELP!

Cant understand it. Main screen fine when you switch it on but when you go into model or linkage it is greyed out and hard to see. you can still sellect the functions and they work but compared to the main screen you can hardly read it even with the contrast turned up.
Trouble is would you risk flying it - I think not.

Sorry for the delay mate. Just got home.

I've looked at my 12FG. Ok, heres what you need to do:

Go into SYSTEM
Select DISPLAY
Scroll down to the figure displayed which goes from 1-30

My hope is that its set on 30 (maximum) which will darken the sub-menu screens. Mine is set on 15.

Hope that sorts it for you. If not I fear you may have a faulty set.
