  • I got a DX7! :-)

I've been a bit of a naughty boy guys! I bent, no broke, the forum rules.

Edmund, (AKA EtheAv8r), made contact with me as a result of my "want ad" and we met up in deepest Londinium this morning.

Bottom line is that I bought from him a totally mint and boxed DX7, with manual, batteries, charger and some additional "fat thumb" sticks for a very reasonable price. It'd be vulgar to mention the exact figure!

I know the rules say one needs 50 posts to sell on the forum but Edmund has 49 and, in PMs and fone calls, I got the "cut of his jib" so to speak and the deal was done.

Whilst I've not played with it yet, I have powered it up and all seems well. Besides I'm sure that were there a problem Edmund would do the decent thing...

Now all I gotta do is set it up for my helis! Watch out for all kinds of "How do I..." threads.

It was a pleasure to do business with you and I can assure you - you got the Bargain of the Month! It is absolutly perfect - but if you have a problem (no don't try it in the shower) - I will refund the few sheckles you paid (but I know there is no problem with it).

Just that now I got a DSX9 I have no need of a DX7 - and this will please my wife who suggested I "sell some of those *** helicopters that you no longer fly..." (... she had not cottoned on tho the fact the DSX9 was not the DX7...

Anyway this one makes 50! I am legit - Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Surely, if he didn't advertise it for sale, so no rules were broken? Besdies, I'm sure your average of >15 posts per day since you registered must make up for something!

                Thanks guys.

Just set it up on Phoenix and all,s well there.

Also just flown the mCX with it too. To my surprise nothing needed to be reversed on it. It worked straight away.

I've reset all the memories too, just so I have to set them up from scratch (not that Edmund has any of the heli I have).

Good choice of radio Mart, even though I was a Futaba man for over 10 years I'm very pleased with it and in the year I've had it I've experienced zero problems.

Top tip though if you've not seen it already, get the neck strap adaptor if you use a strap as although expensive, it makes things a lot more comfortable!

I did notice that but I opted to wipe it all back to the factory standard and go from there.

As much as anything I wanted to get to grips with programming the thing as it's fundamentally different to the DX6i.
