  • DSX9 Battery & Connection...

I had an FP TX Lipo in my DSX9 which I sold with the TX last year. I can't seem to find that same lipo

Outrage do one which is 30x30x99 mm and has the small white connector....

Can someone confirm the DSX9 does use the small white connector?

Excuse me if Im wrong but I thought they specifically advised against Lipo's in the DSX9. as It couldnt take the extra voltage.
    All the best
    Tony.

You're not wrong! They also state this with the DX7 - although a mod on the voltage regulator can be done.

I used a lipo in my DSX9 for 5 months, flying every single day for around 5 hours a day and never had a problem. It didn't even get warm like the DX7 did with a lipo.

I've got a 9XII which is basically exactly the same structurally as the DSX9 and it uses the small white connector.

I don't suppose anyone has any idea what that connector type is called? I'd like to be able to put the pack on my fast charger occaisionally, but it doesn't seem to work through the charge port (there's probably a diode in there preventing it from reading the voltage for peak detect).

Yes, there is a diode in the charge circuit so you can't charge through the charging socket, you can bypass the diode, although you can say goodbye to the warranty.

The little white plug is some sort of JST plug, if you get one of the red JST plugs used in Align regulators and the like, strip the shroud from the male plug leaving the two pins sticking out, these are just the right size and spacing to fit in the white socket. You can also use a servo plug, leave two pins sticking out of a male plug and they are also the same spacing.
