  • Problem matching fasst rx to tx

I have a Futaba T12FGH with a TM 14 module, I have fitted a "new" R608FS to a Titan but cannot get them to see each other. On the rx just get a flashing green (rx receiving signals but ID is unmatched) after pressing the easy link button (held down for > 2 sec). TM 14 is solid green.

Anyone know if there is another way of ID matching rx to tx on this set up?

Matches to the existing R6014FS fitted to another heli with no probs.

if its anything like the 10c you need to set the transmitter to 7 channel setting to get it to link, its worth a shot

      Hi

Think you need to have the transmitter set to the right type of receiver, not sure on the 8ch but 7ch is certainly a different type from 14ch job.

A update, just checked my 12FG and the choices are 7ch and multi so not sure on the 8ch RX at all but try the 7ch setting if it won't work on multi.

      Cheers

The 8 ch RX's require you to select Multi. The 8ch Rx's are 2048 bit and they group the cyclic outputs together.

All 8 channel and above SELECT MULTI

This is 2048 res and is for everything 8 channels and up

7channel is 1024 res and everything 7 channels and under

for 8 channels and up the servo channels will be moved about as well for the grouping it does so data packets are sent to all servo's at the same time...

Set to 7ch just goes steady red, reverts to flashing green when reset to multi

Don't think this is an option, certainly not in the manual, there is a compatability table that ticks the box with these two rxs to the TM 14

once you get the green flashing light it means the rx is detecting the TM-14's signal.

You then press and hold down the easy link button on the RX for approx 2 seconds then release it. The RX then starts the linking procedure. It will change to a solid green when its completed.

Thanks, but in this case it isn't detecting hence my original question if there is another way to match other than the easy link.

Hi Lawrence, Nope you need to link it this way.

First you need the Tx in Multi then do the above, The green flashing is telling you the RX is actually detecting a signal from the TX OK so you are already part way..

When you Press and hold the button on the RX for 2 seconds it is asking the RX to read and store the unique Transmission code that only your TX has.

I suspect you are not pressing the button down far enough to set the RX into linking Mode. The button is tiny and is recessed on its sides.

Something that has occured to me is both the TX and Module UK spec? as the TX and modules are region coded?

                      Hi Brian

Pretty much push the switch down as far as can go, when depressed, the rx flashes red, on release flashes red then flashes green.

Interesting point on the region coding, the tx and module I assume are uk (purchased mail order through uk outlet) wouldn't know where to look or check though nor how to match region to the R608FS

Turn off both wait 10 secounds

turn on the RX (yes turn it on 1st)

Turn on the tranny and transmit

now press the link button for 4 secounds and it should link

                        or try it

                        tranny on

                        RX on

                        And then link

Right You can scratch the region coding problem as you already have it running on your 6014 Rx 2,4Ghz

When you powered up the Tx did you remember to set it to Transmit as no RF signal is output untill then.

                              Hi Brian

Yup, if I do not transmit, the rx goes solid red and changes to flasing green when switched on so is receiving the signal, just not matching it to the rx, also tried marks suggestion but to no joy, still flashing green!!
