maybe Mcgregors have lost the right to be sole distributor in the UK which would be a good thing for JR after all Mcgregors are taking the p!ss on prices.

Maybe they will label them JR/Probuild

Is it Mcg putting up the prices and not the weak pound?

My DSX9 was very nice, it has been the nicest feeling TX I've had ( sold last year when I got bored of helis then come crying back a few months later having spent the money on cars/motorbikes ) but the price rise has really put me off and edged me toward the Futaba 10C dedicated 2.4G.

Currently saving my pennies for a 10C but if the price of the DSX9 is going to become somewhat cheaper, it will in turn bring it back onto the consider list.

I heard a rumour and only a rumour that the TX price will be below £500 and the DX12 will be sub £1000

Give them a call tomorrow and ask them
            Cheers Matt

As someone considering a new TX, I want the overall features of the DSX9 / 10C or better, but get quite really ****ed off looking at the prices of a DSX9 new, compared to what a JR badged, presumably non CE marked effort from overseas.

DSX9 can be bought for less than £500 already.

The CE marking can be applied to the casing of anything, but if the importer doesn't have the relevant paperwork to prove that it is legal for UK use it doesn't really mean anything.
Macgregor have said paperwork and put their own badges on the DSX9/12 so that you know you have a UK legal set.

What would the repercussions be of having an accident with a set that isn't UK legal?
                      Would your insurance be valid?

The exchange rate has pushed most of the prices of model goods up, it isn't the suppliers profiteering, you have to wonder how anyone could sell legal sets cheaper?

If sets come up much cheaper,I would like to see copies of all the relevant paperwork stating the set is legal before I bought one.

Sods law dictates, if anyone has an accident, it will probably be with a dubious set,
                      Who would be held responsible?
                      Who would have to pay?

Insurance companies seem to find any possible way out of paying!!!

                          Update
I got a reply from Probuild today

Yes we will soon be releasing the DSX9 & DSX12, They are currently being produced by JR at the moment, They are 100% UK & European Legal, We have about 4 months ago got 2 sets of each radio in to go through all of the CE certification process & passed, If you purchased from us you will get a CE sticker on the Radio & a documentation stating that the radio is legal, The price for a DSX9 will be £495 for transmitter & receiver.

The DX12 will be just under £1000 as well.

should be interesting, having just had a problem with my spectrum module for PCM9 I am very tempted to go for the DSX9 at that price
