  • Lipo in JR 9xII?

Anyone had problems with using Lipos on Tx's with regards to Voltage?

I was gonna get a Flightpower TX Lip, fed up with 16 hours charging!

    No problems.

Used a 3S in my DX7, the same Lipo in my DSX9 and am currently using a 2S in my DX6i.

I was using the Flightpower 3S 1500 pack in my 9XII but recently swapped to a 2600 3S pack. It's been running on lipo power for over 12 months now without any problems.

Why is it taking 16 hours to charge anyway?

Mine (with a standard NiMh or NiCd pack) charges ok at 200mA once a week usually in about an hour straight through the charging jack on the side of the Tx. I fly up to 3 sessions a week on one charge easily.

Depends how flat it is I guess. 16 hours is a long time though!! At 200mA charge for an hour your 3 sessions are taking very little out of your pack. Wish my NiCd/MiMh packs had been so good

I gave up with NiCd and NiMh packs in my Tx pretty soon after I found a 3s Lipo that fitted. Lasts for weeks now without even thinking about charging
