  • Futaba 10C receiver?

Was bought an awesome top spec 2.4 Futaba 10C Tx for Christmas (long story!!) but came without servos or receiver. Building a 450SE V2 and want to use my new Tx. What decent receiver should I consider fitting to this heli build to use with this Tx. Any ideas? Many thanks.

As you would have to run a Futaba FASST Rx with it I guess there are only 2 choices of sensible size...

    R608FS
    FUTL7638 1.8 x 0.9 x 0.5 in (45 x 22 x 12.7 mm) 0.48 oz (13.54 g) 0.33 oz (9.32 g)

    r617FS
    FUTL7627 1.6 x 1.1 x .35 in (40 x 27 x 9 mm) 0.33 oz (9.32 g) 0.22 oz (6.37 g)

Futaba are about to release a 6 channel 2.4 Rx but until they do the smallest you can get is the 7 channel Rx. I think it's the R167.

wont be too soon either (not for me as I cant afford to upgrade) but a small FASST Rx is certainly a big gap in the Futaba offerings... something that Spektrum have down to a T

Futaba have released a 4 channel parkfly 2.4 Rx so it's a bit confusing why they are still to release the 6 channel micro/parkfly Rx. I've been told it's anytime soon though.

              Thanks Dedcalm,

both quite pricey, £65 & £96 respectively, however, as it is a decent tx.. I always suspected that I'd be forking out the pennies for a suitable rx.

The R608FS googled info tells me that it is suitable up to 8-Channel, whereas the R617FS seems to be the rx of choice that combos with the 10CP tx/rx package. Could I still opt for the cheaper rx even though it appears to be suitable 'upto' 8 ch, or am I missing something really obvious here? PS. I'm a bit of a newbie BTW to say the least!!!

You don't need the 8 channel. The 7 channel is all you need.

also as a side note the 8 plus channel recievers are 2048 res.

                    But I used a 6 channel on a trex250 for a bit so they will fit a 450 heli

Im not sure you can still get the 6 channel Rx as it was limited for use to the top end radios for some reason (12FG/14MZ etc). I may be wrong though. There is a new 6 channel (R616) on the Futaba site which is about to be released here that is compatible with all Futaba Tx's. It's showing as available on some HK sites.
