Are synthesised receivers PPM or PCM?

I have a JR synthesised transmitter but all my receivers are PPM. I'm now thinking it might be a good idea to put a PCM receiver in my Millenium, so am naturally considering a JR synthesised reciever. Hence the question.

They come in both forms PPM and SPCM

I have a JR synth PPM Rx in my knight 50 and its brilliant and only cost £30

I was going to bung one in my new Trex but was told not too by a guru at the club so I'm using a 770 instead.

They are PCM but the problem, so I was told, is that a heli will vibrate in a certain way and can cause the reciever to change frequency.

Now this could be a load of bollocks but I do trust the bloke who told me - would have thought they have tested that sort of thing first though before putting them on the market, so he could have been wrong.

Just found them on Inwoods website - you're right - they do synthesised PPM and synthesised SPCM.

£39 for the 7 Channel SPCM version.

Would have thought if it was vibrating that much the rx isn't the only thing that would play up.

Mount the receiver inside a crash box - as well as protecting the receiver, they are also foam lined so protect against vibration as well.

Quick UK do a good one for £9.51

Just had a quick look (no pun intended) at the quickuk web site, you mixed up sterling and dollars, I thought things were really getting out of hand there for a minute

I use one on my Trex cable tied to the frame with no problem. If your Trex has that much viration it setting up again I'd say

The current JR ones are so cheap it's not worth not using them
