second hand dx6i???

being on a real tight budget would a secondhand DX6i be ok and where would the best place to look for one. what sort of price should i expect to be paying?

I bought a used DX6i from this very forum and it's been fine.

There has been a recall on certain DX6i so, if possible, buy a used one that's either outside the recall dates or has been rectified by Horizon Hobby.

Prices vary from around £40-60.

I bought one that should have been outside of the recall but it failed anyway.

I think £40 is too low, they seem to sell for over £70 on ebay.

Exchange rates haven't helped. 2-3 months ago Hobby Hangar were selling the DX6i, transmitter only, new for about £60.

Heli stuff sometimes sells for silly prices on ebay, alot of second hand stuff sells for almost full retail.

There are some bargains if you look around but you have to be patient.

I paid £72 for my transmitter which I thought wouldnt be part of the recall (no date sticker one it) but after I had had it for 6 weeks or so it started to play up and its being fixed at the moment.

how much you willing to spend on a DX6i as ive one here which is surplas to requirements now ive converted my FF9 to 2.4ghz

hasnt had a recall on it no sticker on it last time i used it it was fine no problems,

like i say i now use my FF9 converted to 2.4ghz

feeling generous how about £45 region posted might still have the box somewhere as well
