If you put Spektrum module into a 35 MHz set then you don't get the model match function, as that is a part of the software that comes built in to dedicated 2.4 GHz sets.

Is it maybe because with it being the module it doesn't have modelmatch.

Edit, doh my iPhone has just reloaded with all of the other replies.

Not exactly difficult though... I reckon if every MCX owner on here got together and bound to a single transmitter we could hit 20 or 30...

Now THAT would be a record...

                  Anyone interested?

                  F@*k, that sounded bad...

I have a JR 3810 Tx with a Spectrum module, and Spectrum Rx's, and there is NO model matching. I can say this without fear of contradiction !

How do I know this. . . . . . . . a few weeks back I tried to fly my Trex 600 Pro, on the Trex 600 sport Tx model settings, unfortunately one of these models is armed with JR servos, and the other with Futaba servo's (except the throttle, which are both the same). As some of you know, JR and Futaba servos work in completely the opposite direction. Doubley unfortuantely I was lax in my bench testing ......

I first realised something was wrong as I spooled up, going through my normal checks through the controls just before lift off head speed, everything was reversed !, so I did the natural thing and pulled back on the throttle to cut the engine. . . . . . . only for the negative pitch to suddely change to positive. . . . lift off.

Heli only went to about 5 feet, but due to the reversed cyclics, I wrong sticked and tipped it over. Damage not too bad, but I was extremely pee'ed off at myself for being such a stupid tosser !

Spectrum TX modules will "talk to" any Rx's bound to them, they will NOT talk to unbound Rx's. This has underlined that careful bench testing is required prior to engine start (bashes head to hard table top).

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?
