12 FG throttle hold

Hope all you futaba experts can help with a strange problem I have with the throttle hold on the 12FG.
Right here goes--on the ground with the engine off throttle hold works in all modes with the throttle arm moving as it should. Take off and switch into idle up and the throttle hold doesn't work so i land, stop the motor and check it again and it's working.
Any ideas guys--It might be something simple but I can't find the problem!

Tell the tranny to GRP throttle hold currently it will be on SNGL for single mode group it to work in all flight modes.

I didn't know about the GRP option for gyros and that caught me out the 1st time I flew and it wasn't happy at all when I switched into idle up1.

Remember to test on the ground without the engine running or motor on....

what governor are you using? try recalibtrating the throttle in the gov, its possible that your throttle hold value isnt low enough to disengage the gov.

Thanks have rechecked and it was in single mode but even more worrying it had gone to inactive as well.Even more surprising is that it was working one flight and it didn't on the next and I didn't alter anything other than changing models. In fact it has done this before and then gone ok again but not this time. Anyway seems to have fixed it but I can't understand why it was working with the engine off but not with it running. Again many thanks I had hit a blank and would never have found it.Will try it tomorrow weather permiting.

That sounds like it would explain the working,not working. Am using the standard align so I will check the hold setting as well---Thanks Ade.

Check that throttle hold is last on the list in the condition menu. As follows:

Normal
Idle 1
Idle 2
Hold

This will ensure hold overides the other conditions. Whilst were at it make sure you group the gyro settings but don't group the governor settings for obvious reasons.
