  • Confused with Futaba rx's and move from DX7....

OK - so I am thinking of getting a Futaba 10C 2.4GHz to replace my DX7. I currently run:

    1x AR7000 (7ch) Knight
    1x AR6200 (6ch) Beam E4
    1x AR6100 (6ch) Gaui EP200
    1x AR500 (5ch) Glider

I would like an extra channel on my Knight and also maybe some future glider options so hence looking at new stuff.

What are the options for Futaba to replace the above receivers, all the ones I have seen so far at 100 quid + !

I would be looking at 8ch+ for the Knight and 6/7 small receiver for the glider.

    Any ideas or suggestions please?

It would be good to get a guide price for the DX7 & receivers as well so I can offset them against a possible futaba move

    TIA
    Regards,

    Jason

      r617fs 7 channel rx, £71.99
      r608fs 8 channel rx, £107.99

the nice thing about the 8chan rx is its 2048 resolution. futaba rx's are expensive but they are easy to bind and the aerials dont fall off ;-)

Jason - would be great if you could let me know how much are you intending to sell your dx7! I'm searching for one as well. Trying to get a second hand one to save some money so that I can get a sim!Ed

If you want the other two channels then you will have to get the R6014FS.

On the 7 channel rx failsafe can only be set on the throttle channel.

On the 8 and 14 channel RXs you can independently set failsafe on the first 8 proportional channels.

I am pretty sure Garry and Andy use 608's in their heli's and I have a 608 (Trex 500) + 6014 (Trex 700). I found the 617 OK with the Trex 500 as well.

I run the 617 rx in my 600's, 450 and even the 250. The extra channel and resolution would be nice of the eight channel but not for the extra 30-40 quid. I do run the big daddy 14 channel in the 700 though!!!!!!
