I had my eye on a dsx9 but not at that price.
It makes the futaba 10c price look cracking doesnt it!
For that money, you may as well consider the 12FG. The 35Mhz version is £929, and the 2.4 is £999.

Historically, JR have always been more expensive than Futaba. That is a massive jump though.

I was lucky. Sold my 12 and got a DSX9 for £549. I tried to get a bit more off, but it had already been marked down from £619. It was the last one in the shop too.

That's how it work if both importer and retailer add 70% to their rmargins as well - which they'd obviously like to.

eg something you buy off the retailer for £300; the retailer may have bought from the distributor for £200; and the distributor may have bought off the manufacturer for £100. NB 'may' - I don't know, but these aren't totally made up.

If the manufacturer doubles their price (or exchange rates do this for them), the retail price only doubles if both retailer and distributor double their mark-ups as well.

Arguably, this isn't just passing on the price hike, but also marking up the price hike as well.
