You're right - all the trims are fully programmable to do whatever you want them to do on the 4000.

There is one thing odd about it though which I'm failing to get to the bottom of. I can fly my JR Voyager on both my Multiplex 4000 and my Sanwa RD8000 transmitters. I use the Sanwa only for my other 2 helis and the Multiplex for my planes. When I fly the Voyager with the Multiplex, I get a constant, steady and significant tail drift to the right. When I fly the same heli with the same gyro settings on the Sanwa, I get no problem at all.

I've checked, double checked and triple checked all the tail curves, trims and sub trims for any evidence that the transmitter is sending out a 'go right' signal, but just can't find anything untoward.

Ultimately I would like to ditch the RD8000 and fly all my models on the Multiplex, but until I can sort this issue out, I'm reluctant to proceed with programming the other 2 helis onto it.

multiplex has a different servo centre to other transmitters. Some gyros will be affected like this. What gyro are you using?

True - but in the transmitter settings you set the servo centre to either Multiplex or Other, and it's set to other.

Tail servo is a Futaba 9250 and the other 4 servos are Sanwa 112 with a Sanwa receiver. The gyro in that heli is a CSM 420 that has never been abused.

I do have a new and unused Futaba GY401 in the shed, as well as 3 Futaba 3050 digital servos for the CCPM system waiting in the wings......????

have you run the 420 through setup with the MPX? That would be my first port of call.

if that doesnt fix it, flick into normal reset the mechanical linkage so that the tail doesnt drift. dont use trim do it mechanically.

then run it through setup again.

A 401 with a 9254 is fit and forget and very easy to setup and very reliable.
