  • What TX? Newbie!!

Hi. New to heli-flying. Bought a Buzz Fly SE with its own dedicated TX, some spares and a copy of Phoenix. I suspect from reading other threads/posts that my Buzz TX will not work with Phoenix, so can anyone suggest a good TX that will be future proof and geared more to heli than fixed wing?
    Thanks.

If your likely to get a 400 or bigger size heli in the future i would get Spektrum DX7 even if you find out the heli's are not for you then you will still get a good price selling it second hand.

Seems like a Speccy DX7 makes a lot of sense. Thanks again.

The buzzflyer/ 4#3B tx works fine with Phoenix for me, and at least one other person I've seen on here. Having said that, it's not the most precise piece of kit, and you're never going to use it to fly another heli in the real world.

                              Batteries are not rechargeable

AA's flat after a few flights and hey presto model out of range.

But also see the BMFA handbook on batteries, AA's are not good enough...

                              Thats my understanding of it
