Youve been thinking about this since our conversation this morning havent you..

Mode 1: Right Stick throttle & aileron

Mode 2: Left Stick throttle & tail

A piece of advise, Stick with what you have learnt already mate.

I tried changing, Its really hard and not worth it.

As Norman asked, What mode are you flying now.

Good greif man there's nothing to be ashamed about.

Its a mixed bag of who fly's what mode, Check out Mattie Lodge's videos, He is mode 1.

Lots fly mode 2 but are no better pilots.

I went through all this banging your head wanting to change, Forget it.

You will fly no better if you change take it from me.

AHhh, You have opened the plot now.

The 9 zap is really easy to change modes mate. How far are you from a club or a RC Model shop.

It can be changed in 10 minutes, Stop worrying now please.

Take it to any reasonable RC shop and they will change it while you wait or...

Get down to your local flying club, There will be someone who can do this for you if you arnt feeling confident about doing it yourself.

                Where abouts are you located.??

Well unless its been modified the 9 Zap can be changed easily.

Hopefully someone from your area will shout up and help you change it.

I did mine (when I owned one) when I bought it and changed it back when I sold it.

                    10 minutes at most.

                          "quote" from futaba website

Can I use my computer radio in a different MODE (ie. mode 1)? In the 9Z series radios, you can change any of the stick or switch functions just by going into the FNC (Function) menu and selecting what you want each item to control. So switching the action of the sticks is made very simple for you. But if you are wanting the left stick to be "non" ratcheted, the radio will need to be sent into the service center so that our technicians can make this modification for you.

basically they say i cant do it myself J

Changing the ratchet is part of what I was saying.

It can be done very easily and doesnt need to go to a repair centre.

As quoted before take a look around for your nearest club and pay a visit and ask for help if you are confused by the working of it.
