Spektrum Flashing Issue

Thanks mate, but until I mentioned about the flashing LED's I just thought it was normal, as it gave me no concerns.

But as you say in as many words I've been dam lucky.

Thankfully I have a greater understanding of how things are supposed to be, I've had a few scares, but sometimes that's the best way for it to be ground in the ole memory box.

Sorry mate, i was stating probably the obvious to alot on here but i wouldnt dare fly with my LEDs flashing for this reason. There meant to do that for a reason. Best to get into the habit of it Wayne, it'll help ya if anything does happen further down the line. And you know this hobby well enough now mate so theres a good chance it could happen. In the example i used. You could sit scratching ya head and change many bits on the helicopter thinking it will cure ya problem. Then because you might not of necessarily cured it (because you didnt know it was a voltage/power issue confirmed by the flashing LED's) you run the risk of putting the helicopter in next time your out with it.

If you're not careful about setting up these bind-time values, the values the gyro sees when it inits will depend on how long it takes the Tx & Rx to conect that time. eg a QC may well cause the gyro init differently to if it takes several seconds to do a normal connect.

What Spartan recommend is that you set the bind-time values such that the gyro won't init. Hence, it won't init until after connect has ocurred, and the Tx is sending values that allow the gyro to init. [You want this so the DS760 can take the actual rudder stick centre as zero.]

I don't know how this applies to other gyros, but if your gyro needs (eg) an HH gain value to init correctly, and will get upset otherwise, you probably want to bind with this value set that way.

These are the values the Tx is putting out when you do the bind.

The only ones the gyro will see (unless you've got a V-bar or such) are the rudder and gyo gain channels. So these are the ones that affect how the gyro inits.

Did you maybe bind with the gyro gain set wrong (via either the gear switch, or f.mode) ? (Or maybe even throttle hold.)

It may be worth looking at the monitor display to see what you send at various switch positions.
