Yes I was running a standard 4.8v nicad JR 1900mah pack.

I do however now fly Futaba FASST.. with the same 4.8v nicad.. no problems there either.

only 1 prob with a parkflyer reciever, it was my fault for flying 600 foot away and then it landed its self
