That's where you're wrong...everyone has initial impressions which are quite possibly the opposite of their final impression. For instance, I liked spektrum for a few weeks until it started crashing models and not letting me even fly them in most cases. I also liked JR until the transmitter model memory reset whilst I was buddy boxing a student and nearly caused a crash, lucky I was quick on that one...

If I change my mind, I've generally told someone my initial impression and a later incident has reversed that. Maybe I should stop telling people what I think when they ask after I've only been flying them for 2mins?

Actually, my phone wanted to sync up with Mac right away... It's missing everything I need for my daily job except Photoshop and Dreamweaver (which is useless for php development but usable) - and when you open them it pops up all over the screen in about 6 different windows instead of the 'tidy' 1 window application desktop feel that I have in Windows. I thought I'd give it a chance and suffered with for 1.5 weeks before giving up, receiving an 'I told you so' from all of the other developers that work with me.

I get the opinion it's not written for technical people or programmers, it's written for basic users and those into multimedia development. I like structure with a clean feel, Windows gives me that (Vista to a lesser extent) and also allows easy access of all the 'tweaking' components in Windows. Mac seems to aim for 'pretty' but easily gets cluttered when you use more than 1 application. The one (and possibly only) thing about Mac I am very impressed with is the Time Capsule utility, massive thumbs up for that!

Ash: You'll be waiting a long time for me to stop liking the 12FG

                    Trev,

Yea some mac apps have floating windows so photoshop dreamweaver etc you get a few windows open. But then you can move them to where you want and as for more than one program expose works a treat or even spaces. Mac allows you to make the work space and layout how you want it..

Windows is as bad when you have several programs open.

every desktop gets cluttered it just depends how you use the space you have...

time capsule still not used it....

What the hell is it doing over there, it's supposed to be below the caps lock key... It's bad enough having the @ and " swapped round already!

EDIT: FYI, I'm using a PC keyboard as I didn't like the feel of the Mac one so have no references and have to guess where the keys are...
