  • 12fg.. slow down a servo...

    Guys,

anyone know if it is possible to slow down a servo via a menu with the 12FG tranny ?

I need to connect up channel 7 for my retract but to save buying a servo slow down I wondered if the 12FG had an option for it.

There is a "Speed" property in the End Points settings - does that do anything of use?

    Cheers,

Glad your enjoying your 12FG Mark..had mine a while now and been really impressed with it. Not the prettiest and lacks a backlit display but is a worthy replacement for 9Z and DX7..

At the club there's a few who dislike Futaba and love spektrum sets....

Personally there all good but the 12FG is in a league of its own.

I agree the lack of a backlight is the only really bad thing about it.

It's just getting used to the dam thing as well and where all the menu's are, although I'm getting better with it and learning more all the time

Me too, when Thomas didn't own one he hated it but it only took a few days for him to stop loving his 9303 . Personally, the 750 quid it costs is a little bit much but once you own it the unit becomes worth every penny.

Using the gyro screen is easy, I just happened to accidentally 'ungroup' the function and whenever I checked that the gyro screen was inhibited the heli was live (not a good idea to check idle up when heli is live). Besides, it proved that the CSM 720 can do a fairly decent 3d flight on a micro heli at only 30% gain rather than the usual 100% that I usually set it to.

It's the same the Macs Trev, you hate them but once you use them you are soon converted and wouldn't use anything else.

I still prefer the feel of my old 9303 to fly with but the software on the 12fg is better as are the receivers.

And don't forget the software update makes it easy to update them as well...

                        I mean the Futaba 12FG

of course its simple to keep the mac software updated as well

I'm not a Mac hater (takes a hell of a lot for me to _hate_ anything - very strong sentiment...) but I won't be converted anytime soon I'm too used to WinBlows!

Thomas, I think if you'd read my skype message in the last few days you would have noticed I am now an avid hater of the extreme lack of functionality within the Mac OS - it's deffo a designer's OS, and comparable to hell for a programmer...

I use the Mac H/W with a Windows OS now
