  • Japan authorities protect their own

    Spektrum/JR just launched a 3rd DSM - DSMJ - for japan only.
    DSMJ uses frequency hopping.
It seems spektrum could not get approval for DSM2 on +100mW power in Japan. so to get approval for more than a park flyer radio they had to go to frequency hopping.
The regulations are not interpreted the same all over the world (particularly if the officials probably have a frequency hopping lobby whispering in their ear).

Our DSM will continue to be legal in UK, and USA and this spektrum/JR product is so far confined completely to Japan.

It will be very interesting to see how spektrum handle the marketing of this system which according to what they said so far, should be inferior to DSM2 - but no doubt will be sold as superior in Japan.

clearly some ninja chopped his fingers off mid sentence and he only hit enter after his head hit the keyboard moments later
I know the feeling, my head hits the keyboard regularly.
