What would be the recommended receiver for the 500 if I went that way. Also do you know where you can purchase say just the dx7 and receiver, no servo's

FASST is IMO the better system from a signal processing POV, I'd rather have a system that changes its frequency every 2 miliseconds than a system that sticks to two channels, hopping is obviously going to be less prone to interference and you can have more FASST sets running at the same time than Spektrum DSSS sets, which is a good thing at some large event like the nationals for example.Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
