  • AR 7100R double pulseing

    HI,

I've just finished building my Trex 700 with a YS 91 SR. I have installed a AR 7100R (rev limiter). The problem is when I turn the engine over, I seem to get a double pulse (red light).

Has anybody else got this problem?

    Cheers

    Matt

just had another thought, have u got it installed at BDC as if its at TDC it might be reading the rod and main end.

Moving the sensor away seems to have done the trick, although I think it's now too far away misses a few pulse's. We will have to have a play tomorrow.

        Cheers dude

I used the washers from the 7100R underneath the sensor to back it off the engine bottom plate and some spare 'speciality washers' from a 600 kit to underneath the heads of the bolts on top. Seems to work fine with my 91SR

Mine fitted perfect in the OS91 SZ-H but I did see adjustment can be made via the plastic mounting clip that fastens to the engine, Tried it in the "alternative" hole but it was miles away.

Only thing I have noticed on the 7100R is a delay in engine speed when flicking into idle 2 from idle 1

Instant response from normal to idle 1.

Bizzare but heard nothing on the internet about this as yet.
