  • High end Tx from outside EU?!?

    Hi guys,

Would you buy one of the Futaba high end radio from outside EU?
Can it go through customs without issue?

(Yeah I know about the warranty!)

you can get one and it will work but there may be legal issues. I know in the uk you cant use a non ce marked radio set it is illegal but id check with the belgian governing body and get their veiw on it

Please take a look at the very first page of any Futaba 12Z manual (a US one, a EU one or an APAC one!), you'll see a big CE(!) logo

Same thing on the TM14 2.4Ghz Tx module...

That said, the hardware that I would like to get isn't makerd with such a logo (no CE, no FCC)

(FYI guys, we're in Europe where goods can travel freely from one end of Europe to the other, so SAME customs rules everywhere in Europe!!! )

the CE (i) mark in the manual is a general mark that in the correct country it can be compliant
the tx needs the CE mark on it to be compliant
but the power output/frequency range needs to be correct for the country of operation
