Is it ok to mix JR and Futaba radio kit. Specifically, JR transmitter and a Futaba receiver.

Are you talking 35Mhz or 2.4Ghz?
As far as I know you can't mix these radios as they use different techniques from each other.
That is certainly the case with 2.4ghz not sure about 35Mhz.

You can mix them as long as you are using PPM(FM)
If you are using PCM receivers you will have to use the same make.Align T-Rex 600n Pro (Now with 3GX)
