  • Ar6000 & DX6 changed to DX6i

Has anyone else noticed issues with binding and connection times when upgrading their DX6 to a DX6i?

I am working on a friends heli and I am regularly seeing a couple of minutes after switching the RX on before it finally connects to the DX6i. I don't see this kind of problem with my DX7 and AR6100's.

I also had the binding issues too, even if the TX is a good 6ft away it still takes a long time to bind the DX6i with the Ar6000.

Are other people seeing these same issues with the DX6i and Ar6000? Are there any work arounds?

    Cheers

    Gary.

    I'm using the AR6200 in a Raptor 50 and the AR6100e in a 450s.

No problems with bind or connection.

Sorry not much help, no experience of the AR6000 myself.

    Cheers

      Thanks Mark,

I suspect it may be something to do with the fact that the AR6000 is not DSM2 so the DX6i probably takes a while to fall back to the older protocol. The AR6100 etc. are DSM2 so probably don't suffer the same delays.

If anyone can confirm this theory then great.

      Cheers

      Gary.

        That does sound plausible.

Forgot to mention I am using a DX6i.

        Cheers

Well, I dropped the AR6200 in it last night and it binds in seconds every time. It also feels smoother to me when moving the servos. They almost felt a bit notchy before but seem smoother and quicker now. Maybe it is just me imagining it, but it seems like day and night compared to the AR6000.

Onto a bit more fine tuning now if the wind is lower today.
