  • Just got the T10C

    Its brillient, one of the easiest to program radios I've used.

    I do have one question about the receiver though, is the power bus like normal receivers, can I plug a switch into any connection aswell as the one labelled battery?
    Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

    You have it and we don't! Now would be a good time if you tried it out and let us know.

    In your opinion what is the quality really like. On RR some have been less than positive about the quality of the plastic. Cheers.

      I seen one in the LHS today .. .and tbh ... if i was gonna upgrade from my FF7 2.4 then i wud skip the 10 and go for the 12 .... they both run modules... BUT the 10 has the ariel on the outside of the cage and the 12 has it inside so thats asking for a smack more than n e thing ... Like I said to someone the other night if my 7 dies or i kill it by accident .. am only out a hundred and something and just buy a new one ... if i kill a 10 or 12 then its paying to have it replaced and also the time with no TX .. Yes they both nice Tx's but i wud never use the extra channels as whar i have now does me

        I saw one and had a little play yesterday in Inwoods shop.

        Very plasticky feel. Comes with 3152 servos which is a plus.

          I don't see those servos as a plus. Using Midland Helis pricing I would rather the price be reduced by £80.00 and they keep the servos.

            It's a plus compared to 148s or 3001s as are standard with many of their lower sets.

              I agree Steve, for the money I would not want a Tx that had a plasticy feel to it .... 3152's are ok for an entry level digi servo .. I use em on my titan and cant fualt em .. but then I dont do 3D .... they better than the standardd 3001/3's that come with most futaba sets lol .....

                Okay. When I purchased my stuff from Inwoods I got it in pieces not as a complete package.

                (I'm not on your case really, what with this thread and the one on servo reversing!)

                  lol .... When i bought my FF7 2.4 i already had servos so did not need em and ended up with just the Tx/rx which was all i wanted n e way .... Will have to see what Rotorhead thinks of the 10c then .... As for the battery plugin ... think all my rx's have a sep battery connection then the channels on it ...

                    When I bought a new Tx a couple of years ago, my budget and needs put me right between the JR 9xii and the Futaba 9C. They were very similarly priced, similar features, similar batteries etc etc.

                    I held them both in my hands for a few seconds each, and instantly went for the JR. It just feels so much more solid, and the sticks were so much nicer for those models. Even then, the Futaba fealt like a child's toy, where as the JR fealt like a £300 Tx.

                    Without a doubt, the top-end Futaba Txs feel great in you hands, but the 10C definitely slots into the plasticky bracket just like all their cheaper stuff.

                    BTW, I'm sure it works great, but the feel is important to me.

                        I don't know how much load a servo is under but on a Raptor and Sceadu when used for the collective it is going to be quite alot. The 3152 only has one bearing supporting the output shaft. The load on the servo is lateral where the use of a dual bearing supported shaft is going to work much better. I have one as a throttle servo. The end float is very bad compared to a 9202 or 9252 which both have dual bearings. I noticed a huge difference going from a 9202 to a 9252 for the collective. I imagine the servo is not working as hard and will last much longer.

                            3152 = £16
                            9202 = £40
                            9252 = £60ish (can't find em on Inwoods site)

                            You get what you pay for.

                            IMO, 3152s are ok. Not bad, not good, just ok, and that's fine for a very large proportion of club flyers.

                              Just be carfull if using them as a pitch servo, i managed to strip the gears out of one whilst learning. Made for an interesting landing. They were great for cyclic, but got a 9255 for pitch afterwards.
