  • Anyone have an OpenTX eepe template / file for a Blade Nano S2 / 130s or comparable?

I recently purchased a Taranis QX7S to replace the myriad of remotes I own for my smaller heli's. The learning curve s definitely a challenge however I managed to create a profile for my Xk K110 and Xk K130 which has taken about a day to create. I've started creating profiles for my Blade Nano S2 and Blade 130s however have not bee able to crack a few configurations so, was hoping someone has the relevant eepe files they could share?

I havent found a definitive list of channels these helis come with. Sure there is the AETR (channels 1-4) however Im uncertain which are the pitch, safe or other channels?

Any help would be very appreciated.

    Thanks!

BladeScraper made some of his models available here and one of them is for the Nano S2. It may give you an idea of the treatment required for the additional channels.

Keep in mind that channel order may vary depending on the module in use. For example, DSM2/X receivers expect TAER but modules such as the iRangeX map the "default" AETR into TAER when DSM is selected just so that one can use AETR across models regardless of protocol. You have mentioned AETR for the nano so I presume you are using one of those modules.

In general RCG is a good source of information on using Taranis to control Blade helis, e.g., this thread on the 230s.

Thanks for this. I have the iRangeX and although Ive just tried this and it basically works, its a bit crude / basic in execution compared to some of the templates I've seen. It would be interesting if someone offered this service online though, I would likely be interested in purchasing a well configured profile for my TX...

I wonder if anyone knows whether there is a site or repo where I might be able to search for these? I've googled but couldnt find anything relevant...?

As mentioned, the IRangeX 4in1 module will take care of mapping AETR to the Spektrum channel order (TEAR), and it will also take care of the narrower end points Spektrum use for you as well.

All you should really need to do is tweak your existing model. By that I mean channel centering. Getting zero pitch to be centre stick etc. I used the first heli model I made across all my helis when I flew them on my Taranis, with just those tweaks.

I've attached my basic .otx heli file (change the extension from .txt to .otx once downloaded as I couldn't attach it with that name).

        basic_heli_AETR.txt

This has normal, idle 1, idle 2 on curves 1, 2 and 3. Curves 4, 5, 6 are pitch curves that go with those flight modes. Idle up switch is SA, throttle hold is SG (back is active, middle and forward are both hold). Gyro gain is channel 5, edit the weight in that mix to alter the value of the gyro gain.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

@bigpops, thank you very much! That’s kind of you to explain that so well (I actually understood everything . I will give this a try tonight and Leyton know how I got on.
