  • Futaba 9C/149 receiver problem?

A strange/worrying occurance happens whilst flying my 600N in an inverted hover. When it comes time to push the stick forward to get the heli right-side-up there is a huge delay from when I give the input to the heli responding. The heli has a 35mhz 149 reciever with the Futaba 9c transmitter. Servos are 3050 digitals. Any ideas? Its never happened before, then again I've only just started doing inverted. Seems ok right side up!! One other note, I have exactly the same set up on my other heli with no issues. I'm thinking receiver problem?

    Thanks
    Pete

I used to run my 600N on pretty much the same setup (ie FF9 tx, 168DP rx and 3050s on the cyclic) and never had problems like that (although I went 2.4 before really doing much inverted stuff).

I would very much expect it's just a mechanical / setup issue with the heli and nothing to do with the RX - perhaps the elevator servo end point isn't set far enough limiting your forward cyclic when the swash is low (ie what happens when hovering inverted and punching up forwards). In this case the elevator is at its limit, so just check it on the bench. I bet the elevator servo is just not going very far when the swash is fully down.

Very much doubt it's the RX, but if it is I've got an old 149DP I would sell for £50 (uncrashed, used in a plane), or the (also uncrashed) 168DP, 8ch for £40 (never got any joy in the classifieds). Lemme know if interested

Thanks for that. Checked it on the bench last night and all seemed well mechanically but will double check. I'll let you know if I need your receiver. Thanks again.
