  • V control question

    Hi,

I'm looking at getting a v control. Can anybody that owns one tell me if it came with the parts to enable you to spring the collective. From looking at the manual online it shows using a lever and spring to convert modes, but I want both gimbals sprung, so was there/ is there a spare lever/spring in the box?

also does it have any requirements for the collective to be at a certain position to boot or anything weird, I'm guessing not?

    thanks,

    rich

There was no spare springs etc to enable you to spring the collective, some VC's came with the parts to limit the throw though which I have fitted in mine.

As Brian said you can have collective in any position as long as motor switch is off.

Do you mind me asking why you want the collective sprung?

thanks for that George, I'll have to see if mikado can supply the parts, they don't list the parts on the website.

yeh no problem, that's how I've had mine set up for over a year and don't really want to go back to non sprung. Just what I'm now used to

Drop them them a message, more than likely just send them to you no problem.

Interesting that you have sprung collective, whatever works though!

Did you trim these before fitting George? I have read others have done this..

I tried it first before doing so and it reduced the throw way to much. There is a small raised part to them which you just trim off and perfect after that, much prefer it personally Dean.

I really don't like the limiters on the collective. Everytime I fly G's more than happy to hand the tx back. It's great you have the option to personalise though.

Think I will try it without first and go from there

It does make things a bit more sensitive as once you're recalibrate the stick you're getting the same throw but with less travel on the stick, I like not having to move the stick so far but like I said its makes the heli a bit lively.

by ramping up pitch curves will simulate the same, but won't limit the throw of stick

the curtis curve (back in the day)
