  • NEO vs. Mini V + Sat

What's the difference between having a NEO and a Mini V/ Mikado RX Sat? Do you lose any functionality by just using the Rx on existing Mini V's on Pro?

I'm this close to getting a V Control and wondering whether to go for a NEO combo, or just the Tx.

Nothing in it flying wise , have a few neos , also a mini with v-sat on vcontrol , neo has the added extra ports also the rescue feature .
Also better sensors for vibration so on nitro no extra sensor needed , if buying the vcontrol I'd go for the combo with the neo , awesome unit with telemetry ports for a lot more cool features

mini vbar will only just go over V6 software, Neo starts at V6.1 express

Neo flies better to me... And no issues chasing vibes as it is very vibe resistant.

More ports to on the Neo to supply power to, and it also has a dedicated RPM sensor port.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

the Neo is very resilient to vibration, but for the extreme there is a separate sensor option

V control and V6 is incredible,i run Neos and older V Bars,IMHO the flight characteristics are as near as dammit the same (and better than V5 ever was) but the Neo is the future proof option for sure and the better hardware.

Mikado have hit the ball clean out the ground with their latest stuff, the system is a game changer.

You don't need both , hence why the unit itself is always out of stock , sensors are very vibration tolerant and the reason behind the new unit is the extra ports to take power plus an rpm port that doesn't need a piggy tail of another channel for power , built in receiver the list goes on

spartain is most odd, i have it on a 550 and it rocks, however on the 700 E i dont get on with it, so I tried a loaned beast x v4 pro HD , same issues ,which for want of a better word ,I will call a cyclic whip, ie a speeding up of the move without a speeding up of the controls.... I flew a friends synergy v bar and his goblin 700 comp v bar------ they were just so awesome , so decision made , back to the bar

I mentioned this a while back and nobody got what I was on about, I called it dynamic cyclic I think. The quicker/harder you stick the input in the acceleration seemed to change. Again not explaining it well but I know what you mean Rach. Hopefully they sort it on the next update but I'll probably have got peed off with it by then and gone the same vay

Go Neo, it's the better option simple. I have Neos on all my helis now and with rescue etc it's just brilliant and as you know Vbar is the way forward so with that in mind V Control is THE TX to go with it. I guarantee you'll not look back after converting to V Vontrol.

Wise choice Richard I have a few NEO's and combined with the vControl it just makes lfe so much simpler , also adjustment on the flight line rather than keep plugging a dongle in. Its worth everypenny .

I'm glad Rachel has come to her senses too , you do make me laugh !
