Mixing DSM2 satelites?

OK so in my spares box I have a JR EA101 which I can use for my vbar on my Ballistic, but I'll need another Sat for it as well. As this is a DSM2 Sat can I buy any other DMS2 one from JR or Spectrum and it will work fine or do they both have to be the same model?

I could get this JR Remote Receiver JRPRR121

or this Spektrum DSM2 Remote Receiver SPM9545

or do I need to buy two of the latter?

I've done setups using a mix of JR and speccy sats but I've never flown. I would have 2 of the same for piece of mind

I guess I could just sell the 921+Sat to raise the funds for the new Sats rather than use the JR sat I have with a second different sat.

I wouldn't be too concerned, they are both DSM2 and will work fine together.

If they have been used separately without issue then they are both OK, if you buy new satellites there is just as much risk of one of them causing a lockout simply because they are new.

What I wouldn't do is reuse any radio gear that had already caused an unexplained lockout or crash, these go straight in the bin. I don't even bother to send them back, I have heard too many stories of stuff coming back "no fault found" and causing another crash.
