I had one yes. For some reason it didn't like my Knight 3D and i had a few lock-out issues from time to time. Couldn't pin-point the reason so got rid. This was the latest XPS (IFS) module.
Have a search around on other heli forums and make your own mind up - there are some issues with XPS (marketed in europe by Graupner as iFS). Quite a few people seem happy, but there seem to be issues over the actual link robustness and operation in practice. The system does not have antenna diversity, and unlike the other systems it is a two way link (Rx transmits back to the Tx to confirm it received the original packet of transmitted data) Lots people have asserted that the designer has lied about the claimed features. Bit of a minefield!!!??
As said above it is made by XPS in the US although I think we get a lower power version in Europe. I've not used it, prefering to use Spektrum gear but if you search XPS on Runryder you will get a wide range of views ranging from very good to absolutely awful.
I bought a DX7 a year ago and bought the Spektrum module for my JR 9XII when they were released. This has worked faultlessly since I bought it although I found the fitting on the back of the module and flylead to connect to the antenna to be a really naff idea and have since fitted a Blade CX2 antenna which all runs internally. I do miss the model match feature that the module doesn't have although I'm not good enough to miss the servosync feature
If I'd have known that the JR DSX9 2.4ghz set was on the way I probably wouldn't have bought the module but used the DX7 and waited, it would only have cost around £200 more, or less if combo's become available. I suppose it really comes down to whether it's worth the extra for you but, either way, I'd personally stick with Spektrum technology.
