  • pitch changes as you change flight modes.

    Hi guys,
I have recently got a graupner mz18 and I have come setup my flight modes.....when switching from one flight mode to another the pitch also alters even though the pitch curves are the same......this issue only occurs when the throttle curves are different to each other...obviously for different flight modes you need different throttle curves.
any hep would be much appreciated.

When you switch flight modes, you are changing both throttle and pitch curve together. If the change in throttle is more abrupt than a change in pitch, you'll see a bounce.

      cheers for your reply p41mer,
my pitch curve settings are the same for both modes.....the issue is my throttle curve is physically making my pitch alter to .

If you switch between flight modes on the bench, can you actually see a change in blade pitch, or are you just detecting movement in flight as p41mer suggests?

My Futaba 14mz has a hover setting on the pitch and throttle setting menus only on normal mode that you need to turn off when you first set up a model.
I wonder if there is a similar setting on the graupner mz18?
Is your pitch and throttle curve linear in normal mode?

Hi, watch the output screen on the TX while switching to see what is changing. Throttle should not affect pitch unless you have programmed it to do so, ie a special mix that adds throttle when you add pitch but it's been done the wrong way round.

My betting is that you have a hover pitch nob enabled in some flight modes

I can see on the output screen that pitch is applied to channel six as you change modes.

yes my pitch and throttle curve are linear in both modes......I haven't seen the option to turn any hover setting off.

OK now I see what's going on.

Are you using it on flybarless?

                    If not is it ccpm?

Find the hover pitch adjustment nob and disable it.... RTFM if you can't find it in The menus.

If you are having trouble getting Max pitch then find the cause/fix for that rather than bodging... Info I requested above will help us help you

Hi ade yes the heli is fbl (tarot zyx s2) I cant find how to disable the knob but I have fixed the pitch travel issue....so its not needed.
another thing I have noticed is you only have positive pitch upon lowering the collective you get to zero pitch and it then applies positive pitch rather than negative also.
