Bit off topic but not much I have a client that wants to controll 2 rx from 1 rx at the same time. Is this possible. I know that spektrum won't but I heard that you can with a futaba fhss setup. I have been adamant that it can't the whole idea of sst was to prevent this or so I thought.

I think you can bind two identical DSM2/DSMX Rxs to the same model on a Tx, and effectively control both at the same time. [The Tx does read back info rfrom teh RX at bind time, but I think it's just Rx info such as DSM2/DSMX, # channels, suppoprted frame rates, etc. This would get overwritten by the 2nd bind - but by identical information.]

In most applciations, this is unlikley to be a good idea...

Thankyou. I knew someone on here would know even if it proved me wrong. just to put your mind at rest we are trying to trying to controll 2 robotic tv cameras using rc. We where thinking of using one on the left stick and one on the right. Bothe cameras would have to perform different tasks at the same time. Can anyone see any possible problems with this.

no problems if you can get them both to bind... I didnt think that was possible with spektrum stuff due to the unique identifier of each receiver.......

on 27Mhz you would have no issues.... just use two of the same crystals. Cant use 35Mhz as its airborne only, I think you would be ok with 40Mhz though....

Thanks jimmy we have been down the 27mhz route. Its a bit unreliable and its hard to find brand new in the box equipment

I must say I thought that was why the sst was developed. How ever unlikely its still posible for me to fly your bird without meaning to.

Only if they rebind their Rx to your Tx, in normal operation then you won't be able to control someone elses heli.

The rx is matched to the tx. Unless my tx and rx have the same Id as yours they won't connect.

A rx checks for the tx it is bound to. You can bind any number of rxs to one tx. One rx can only be bound to one tx. The tx sends a code word identifying itself to the rx. Might be interesting if you use a tx with telemetry with rxs that support it. The tx would get two signals back.

Thanks to everyone so far. Now I have this project on my bench and have it working sort of how I want but.
I have the control for the start/stop rec on ch2 working off of the left stick like this. 0stick= standby midstick= photo fullstick= rec so you can take a photo from standby or rec. the idea was now to set the IU switch to perform the same functions ie: IU1= 0-0-0-0-0. IU2= 50-50-50-50-50. IU3= 100-100-100-100-100. I can't get it to work at all. I'm hope I have missed something simple in the programming being a spektrum man myself. Dose anyone have any ideas. I'm not sure if I have explained enough so questions welcome.
