Since DemonJim reported that the gyro and governor could be run on different switches to the flight modes I have been studying the manual again. The 7C doesn't have switch C which on the T9CHP is a three position switch that can be used for two headspeeds and governor off. Also the 7C doesn't have a switch F that I would use for HH and rate mode for the gyro. I am stumped to know, DemonJim, how you do it? It does have switches A, B and D that are normally used for setting up dual rates, but being they are only 2 position they wont work for the governor.

Switch E is the three-position switch, which you use for the flight modes (normal, idle-1 and idle-2). So you can have the governor also set to E, and set the values to 0%, 50% and 100% for the three positions. On the governor itself set RS1 to OFF, RS2 to your low RPM and RS3 to your high RPM. This willl mean in Normal the governor is off, Idle-1 gives low RPM and Idle-2 gives high RPM.Originally posted by Evo Andy View PostSince DemonJim reported that the gyro and governor could be run on different switches to the flight modes I have been studying the manual again. What I do though is have the three governor screen values at 50%, 75% and 100%, giving me three different governor speeds based on my flight mode, and then use two P-mixes in Offset mode on switch B, which drops CH7 down to zero (ie turns off the governor no matter which flight mode I'm in). This all works because the GV-1 has RS1 (ie 0% on CH7) set to OFF. If you have an 8 channel radio it's easier to just use CH8 for on/off but this works just as good.
Alternatively you could have the two-way switch of your choice (eg A) to set the two governor speeds separate to your flight mode switch E, and then have switch B disabling the governor using the p-mixes as above.
For the gyro you could can the HH and rate toggle switch on any switch you want, A, B, D, H or whatever (not G though as that's thr-hold). I use switch E again though for my gyro so I have a different gyro setting for each flight mode (makes sense because of the different headspeeds).
Hope that's of some help

ive never forget and always turn the tx off last. no need to rush - take your time and think about what your doing cuz if you dont thats when an accident will happen and some1 will get hurt.
more so with electric than nitro - the nitro cant do anything anyway when the engine has been cut
cheers
