  • Jive, 3 pairs of short beeps on startup

In the four years I haven't flown I seem to have forgotten more than I knew when I started.
Can anyone tell me what is the significance of the three pairs of short beeps when I start up my jive? Could it have anything to do with mode 9?
I cant remember if there is any way of checking what modes are selected on the jive or if the only way to be sure is to set mode 1 and start again?

Mode 9 or KSA (Kontronik Special Application mode) as it is known is recognised by what is considered to be a telephone ringing type noise after the battery is connected.

I thought KSA was mode 10.

Dr Ben suggested the same. I'm only confused because they only started after I programmed mode 9.

No mode 9 is KSA... certainly is on the 120 Helijive/pros anyways.
But yeh the beeps will be the lipo cell count as previously said.

On the older jives mode 9 is lipo mode and will cell count upon connecting lipo. I'm guessing he's running an older firmware

Yup thats what im thinking also... if i remember correctly when first connecting a battery you are greeted initially with tones telling you that the unit has detected a signal and low stick (or brake). Then it does the cell count beeps.
