Helijive playing dead

Has anyone had a Jive or Helijive play dead on connection.

Bec powers up but does not arm,i am trying to do a setup on it with the jumper, but jumper in or out there is no arming.

It was working OK in a model on V control,i borrowed it from that model to use in a friends scale model over the weekend which was on Spektrum,that all worked OK but the poor thing got seriously hot on the last flight(not sure if there were any blink codes).

Fitting back into my model and using V control I am getting no joy ,i know it plays dead until a low throttle signal is detected so I am hoping its just this but I am using the setup wizard so I should be sending a zero throttle signal.


Anyone had similar?

I got a power jive 120, worked flawless then all of a sudden dead, just get the crack when you plug in, no light and won't go in program mode either.

Yeh thats mine in a nutshell really also.

Will have another play about later and maybe ask a club member to try it with a Speccy Tx,my only hope is its not happy with the throttle signal(unlikely).

i plugged mine in to dsx11 and had no joy, even took out bec wire and no joy, hopefully your may work. if you do anything different and get a result keep us posted

Ok i certainly will but TBH it sounds as if you covered all the bases.

I noticed that if you don't put the jumper on the correct two pins then it will play dead. Might be worth a look.

My 200A kosmik has done the same thing

I had this in the past and done the setup again with the 2 program cards then reconnected it and it was fine

I had the very same with 2 different 200a Kosmiks.

Both had to be returned to Germany for a very expensive repair.

What is the LED blink code?

there are said to be issues with some jives and Vcontrol and neo. I've had one acting strangely and having been trying to get an answer out of kontronik but they are being less than helpful. Have finally agreed that I need to send it in but if they make me pay for it I'm going to be ****ed!

I get no LED blinking at all.

Will have another play with it after work tomorrow and update.

The heli in question does have a Neo so might try it with a mini v bar also.

Ok chaps again thanks for all the replies,turns out there is something wrong with the jumper plug.

I tried a different jumper and it armed first go and is fine,i have continuity on both jumpers so it obviously doesnt like the first one for some reason,i suppose it may not be contacting one of the pins properly.

Ive tried, different jumper and different bec cable and nothing. plugged a 4.8v battery into slave and connect as normal and if i disconnect flight pack, 4.8v battery will keep rx light on but nothing from esc. so me thinks its defo cattle trucked.
